Garcia To Serve 3 Months In Prison

SAN DIEGO CA-Sunny Garcia narrowly escaped a thick, overhead closeout lip today in Federal Court on his tax fraud case. Garcia was sentenced to a brief 3 months in Federal Prison, a far cry from the maximum of 3 years for his guilty plea. On top of the 3 month stint in weightlifting camp, he’ll do an additional 7 months of house arrest and then a year of supervised release (another way of saying probation).

There will be no fines. However, he has agreed to fully cooperate with the IRS now, which means he’ll be held to pay all of his back taxes including interest and some penalties. Garcia has been quoted as saying he expected jail time for his little oversight.

In that interview, Garcia denied any fault and harshly blamed his accountant and other advisors for his federal tax woes. And for that, RSC had to put the hammer down on his bullshit.
